I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it: Every once in a while things happen, where it seems the cosmos is trying to tell you something. If, at least, that it is paying attention.
I randomly placed two seemingly unrelated movies in my Netflix queue on different occasions. Earlier this week, while perusing the queue, I decided I wanted to see them both and brought them to the front.
This Saturday being a near-record-setting scorcher, I decided to stay in and enjoy a mini movies marathon with air con. I had three movies from Netflix and randomly picked to watch Bubble (2006) first, and then Bent (1997), and then a last one. It turns out that Bubble has a scene depicting a specific act from a play…a play which ended up being the one Bent is based on. I was a little dumbfounded when I saw the same dialogue happening as I watched the second movie. And now I rack my brain wondering what’s to be learned from these two poignant, connected movies. Cosmos, care to enlighten?
